Suzuki VXL variant 2019 has become the new go-to purchase amongst the people. It is an affordable decision as a brand new zero-meter Suzuki Cultus VXL 2019 costs PKR 1,855,000 and gives you a great experience.
To help you understand better and to ease your decision-making time, we have made a video of an owner who had bought the Suzuki Cultus VXL 1000 cc Manual in April 2019. The owner did also consider buying the Suzuki Wagon R, but when he saw the Suzuki Cultus, he had an instant change of heart.
Stability and Ground Clearance:
The owner found the Cultus far more stable than the Wagon R. Since; he is a fan of traveling to the northern areas, he saw that the car performs perfectly on inclined and rigid surfaces. The Cultus, when compared to the Wagon R, has a better turning radius and feels safer while turning, whereas the WagonR needs to be slowed down and then turned. This is due to the lower center of gravity of the Cultus, which provides greater stability and road grip.
Safety Features:
The Suzuki Cultus has two airbags; the frontal airbags are mounted in the steering wheel and the front instrumental panel (more commonly known as the dashboard).
Suzuki Cultus is also equipped with ABS (anti-lock braking system) which makes the car even more stable and reliable on the road. The owner found this feature to be a useful option!
Fuel Average and Engine:
For a 1000cc car Suzuki Cultus does an impressive average of around 17 to 18 kilometers per liter within the city; and when the buyer takes it out of the city the fuel average easily goes up to 20 to 21 kilometers per liter; as people tend to opt for a 660cc car for a better fuel average when it comes to spending sensibly.
Compared to a Toyota Vitz, the Suzuki Cultus has a better functioning and more powerful engine and gives a positive response. It has great acceleration as well.
Even after the car was driven for a total of 5000 kilometers, the oil and filter change did not cost the customer a hefty amount. The customer has done the following maintenance work so far:
- An inspection after 1000 kilometers
- Oil Filter change
- Oil change (after 3500 kilometers)
All these combined costs the owner around PKR 5000s.
Audio System and Boot:
The Cultus has great speakers, and the audio system comes with Bluetooth setting, which is fairly easy to use. It has a spacious boot where you can easily store a large suitcase along with a medium-sized suitcase.
Air Conditioning and Legroom:
Despite what people think of small engines and air conditioning, the Cultus cools perfectly even on the hottest days of the year. The A/C is perfectly calibrated for the local weather.
Cultus offers ample legroom for the driver and the front passenger but unfortunately not so much for the passengers sitting in the back. The Cultus does not come with an armrest; however, this can be installed easily from the market.
Faulty Errors:
A few days into the purchase, the customer started hearing a ticking sound from the rear right wheel, which seemed to be a known fault but was fixed instantly by changing the brake drum. This was done free of cost by the dealership. Another fault was that the plastic of one of the viper blades had expanded and that too had to be replaced with a new one free of cost by the dealership.
Resale and Car parts:
Manual Cultus has a better resale than the automatic Cultus, which made the customers lean towards the manual Cultus. However, the VXR would be resold at a beneficial price, of course, depending on its condition at the time of the sale.
The biggest point people focus on while comparing imported versus local cars is it’s car parts. People fear expensive car parts and their lack of availability, but luckily the Suzuki Cultus has easily available and affordable car parts from both the dealerships as well as from the market.
Suzuki is literally providing junk! I don’t know about the owner who wrote the review, but oil and filters never costed a fortune in the lower mid range cars. A new Suzuki cultus comes with faulty brake drums and crappy quality to be honest LOL. Looks like a paid review.
Dear writer, I don’t know whether to refer you as brother or sister based on your name. But I will disagree with your review based on my following justifications:
– it’s not a very affordable car as you put it. A 1000 Cc gasoline powered hatchback priced at approx 1.8 million rupees, cannot be regarded as budget car in any sense or in any international market. This statement in my view is highly pompous.
– actual fact is that we don’t have any option for a desirable new car in the lowest budget category thanks to the car manufacturers lobby in Pakistan.
– in my opinion it is better to buy a used compact sedan with back trunk lije Mitsubishi, Toyota or Honda instead of going for a new hatchback Suzuki worth 1.8 M.
– in foreign countries where car prices are logical as compared to Pakistan only the marginal prefer the hatchback over the sedan since for family a rear trunk with sizeable capacity is a desirable necessity. So we see only solo female drivers buying hatchback sedans as a secondary transport only.
– in foreign countries you can buy a used GMC or Ford of model 2013 and above in the 1.8 million price category. So kindly this price for car like Suzuki cultus is a big joke even if we are living in Pakistan. So better to buy sensible a used full size sedan the go for this zero Meter hatchback in this price range.
There is no any justification for considering it a sensible buy. We are being fooled by the vested interests so kindly don’t justify this mockery by writing such reviews. This car in this price range don’t deserve a review at all. Write review against the vested interest by justifying the price ranges compared to international market and create a social media campaign against such fraud instead.
