as scheduled, the car was brought to my sand blasting facility today to be stripped of all mechanicals and trim. as we were preparing to strip everything, i realized that now would be the time to hunt out measurements to build a rotisserie that i had been thinking to build al along, to blast the undercarriage as i wanted to avoid this kind of tilt which could be a safety hazard any moment while the car is being worked on
the above resto was carried out in sri lanka a while ago by a hobby friend and the first thing i had objected to was the vulnerability/instability of this shell orientation during the resto process due to potential safety hazard. thankfully there were no accidents during the above resto. but i never was ready to take the risk and had been looking for the rotisserie measurements for mazda luce without any success for some time now
our friend @afarooqi here had helped me some with large resolution luce blueprints with some measurements, which were not sufficient to build a rotisserie (though were helpful in chalking out some rough rotisserie plans)
i am still working on the rotisserie plans while the car is being stripped. will share progress as it becomes due. watch this space for progress on both stripping of the car as well as a rotisserie build
