The upcoming Honda city's 8th generation was caught testing for the first time in Thailand. This marks the beginning of many more such spyshots and leaks to come.
The test mule appears to take inspiration from the current Civic in terms of design. It also appears larger in dimensions compared to the previous city(even more compared to Pakistan's previous-previous city). This makes sense as the 10th gen Civic also grew a fair bit leaving room for the city to follow suit.
The rear looks as though it'll have slim LED taillights, way better than our 5th gen boxy ones.
And it looks like the car will carry one of the most advanced and sought-after features in any modern car today, the one and only SHARK FIN ANTENNA.
Powertrain options shouldn't be too drastically different from the current gen although a mild-Hybrid variant is rumored to come as well. 7th gen PKDM city should get the newer 1.5 from BRV and 1.3 might be replaced or dropped altogether. Over all, it looks like the car's design will be one of it's strengths, as well as the interior, which is supposed to get overhauled along the lines of the upcoming Jazz and Fit.
The next gen City is rumored to be launched by the end of this year or early next year in Thailand followed by India. Expect it to debut in Pakistan sometime in 2020 and be a massive hit. Estimating price at this moment is futile with how uncertain the economic landscape is, but over 2.0 Mn is a given.
