Suspension problems are hard to diagnose. Even on the lift it was hard to tell because most of the parts like tie rod, rack end and z-links had no play in it. Even the CV joints looked fine, seals were intact. The broken seals and grease you see happened after the replacement while I was re-checking all parts for play.
But there definitely was play in the steering I could feel while driving. Most mechanics were like "sub theek hai, koi masla nahy" even after test driving.
Yes, I could have gotten 3-4k discount on parts if I had bought them from my regular parts dealer. But I had only gone for the rack end and tie rod replacement. It's only when the suspension started to come apart we saw that most of the parts even though appeared fine but were at the end of their life cycle. So I was deciding on the spot like 'hmmm, yeh bhy change ker, wo bhy change ker do'. Roz roz ane ka time nahy hai. Total bill was about 93k, I talked to the service manager and got some discount.
Now coming to your questions.
Yes, in total 4 bushes were changed, 2 from front arm and 2 from back arm. The damage you see on the bushes is after they have been taken out buy a kharadia. All 4 arms were sent to kharadia to remove old and install new bushes.
I was quoted 3500 for the shock mounting even in july last year, so 3300 is good price over there.
It's not a condenser but evaporator. It lives in the dashboard near where the AC filter is, and is taken out by opening the dashboard from below near where you put the feet on the passenger side. It's the inside part of the AC like in split units you have one set of coils in the indoor unit absorbing the heat and one set outside getting rid of that heat.
When I first sat in the car, I was on the passenger side getting out of the dealership for a test drive by the head mechanic and we were still in the dealership cruising and I could feel the difference like night and day, and I said to the head mechanic "wah, yeh to nayee jaise feel ho rahy, 1 unit feel ho rahy jaise mery new honda city".
I was a little worried while paying the bill k itne paise lga diye, but then when I drove the car I was like, yeh.. money well spent.
