[QUOTE=AdilFJ40;3554469]A LAND CRUISER FJ40 IS BORN! Authentic and as per original specs restoration of an FJ40 Toyota Land Cruiser in Pakistan.
Ever since I was a child, I used to dream of owing a 4X4. My dreams realized in February 2012 when I bought this FJ40 from auction in Golra Depot. The restoration started after few weeks. In the beginning, my father and I worked on this FK40 by our selves. We disassembled it ourselves. We cleaned it and removed paint on most of the body parts. Then we handed it over to the specialist on City Sadar Road for full restoration. For six months, my father did, what I never even thought of. He spent hot summer days in Jeep Bazar in search of parts and negotiating with Denter, Painter, Mechanics, Electricians, Fitters and second hand parts dealers. In the end we restored our Land Cruiser :-)
This would have been impossible without my Father, Col Omar Jan Sikandary's supervision. Overall, it has been a back breaking project. But the outcome speaks for itself.
