brother joinami, then for what purpose is a TURBO made for ?
according to my knowledge & experience brother, More Air = Better MPG. esp. for Diesel engines.
Turbo is just one of the Ram-air setup, & Ram air = More Air, weather u get it from hood-scooped up or turbine blades. The conclusion is to achieve as much AIR as possible. Oxygen is primary element in the air.
For a Diesel engine, Air is BASE & FUEL is Catalyst. Air is made HOT before the ingnite takes place in the combustion chamber.
I don't understand, how people getting less mpg while havin' turbo. Cause' thats the point people don't get it & when mitsubishi engineers designed INTERCOOLERS on later models for such fools & ill-literate people who don't believe & respect the AIR power
While, many other people with non-intercoolers have already done a cold air intake setup, achieving great efficiency & mpg, even far much better than intercooler mounted setup, cause intercoolers are sooner or later rusted & busted & not flowing all the air precisely & efficiently esp. at low rpm/speed, infact they need a greater boost to push thru all that gibberish. Simple engineering has won & walks-thru all complications always in the Diesel History
Besides, i've also seen a lot'a people with a lot of BACK-PRESSURE along with the TURBO SETUP.
& these people are dreaming & demanding more MPG & power from THIS ? a huge round of applause for these people.
Turbo already has a BACK, and you givin' it more BACK, & more & more of High RPMS.
Some people believe that BACK is there cause they don't have intercooler mounted. another round of applause for these people.
& some believe that their TURBO is about to DIE & its giving BACK. yet another round of app.
& some believe that their engine is about to DIE hence giving BACK. another round of app for these people.
& many believe BACK is important, & its engineered for perfection & these people never claim BACK instead they claim other parts of the engine all their LIFE!!
You see, many things come into consideration when ur demanding the maximum efficiency.
Diesels are made to give GREAT power + efficiency & greater MPG you can ever consider.
In-fact DIESELS can give FAR much better mpg than CNG or petrol.
The thing is that you just need to keep it TUNED in The Art of perfection!!
