A group of us drove to the old Attock Bridge near the Kund national Park and the Attock Fort for a leisurely drive and a chill day. The drive was great and the weather was super after an early morning windstorm and light drizzle. We were hoping for a better turnout but there were some last minute drop outs due to personal reasons. It was five cars in all (Billo included)
We assembled at the McDonald's car park and drove off towards our destination. Once there we parked our cars at the old Attock Bridge and lugged our stuff across the pedestrian only bridge to the British Era Attock Khurd railway station where we set up our Bar B Q and spent the rest of the day just chilling. We actually got to see a Pakistan railway TRAIN!!!! Now that is rare I believe. More surprising is the fact that it arrived at the station ON TIME!!!! What is the world coming to???
Another surprise was that one of the police guards posted at the bridge recognized Billo and said that he had seen the pictures on the internet and that the car had won some award/s internationally (sound of my jaw dropping to the floor here..)
Anyways we packed our stuff and drove home stopping along the way for a photo session before two cars split and headed towards Pindi while the rest of us came to Islamabad. All in all a fun day that we hope to have more of before the weather turns hot.
Enjoy the pictures..
