Parts cost are more or less similar to toyota genuine parts (not frixa, leppon, asahi, 555 or asuki etc but actual toyota parts in toyota package from toyota warehouse)
Problem is workshop (dewan are useless IMO)
E.g. it requires a 12v 70a power supply connected to car in order for any coding or you may brick it. Or even bleeding the water pump (its done easily with a 25 a supply)
It has some unique issues like aluminium bolts which are one time use or the suspension which is setup for the car to handle like a track car which eats tires in urban driving and people visit alignment shop evrry month assuming something is wrong, While everything is good and all that is required is rotating the tires at specified intervals.
Some owners go down the rabbit hole of liquid molvi and other janoo jurmann brands being poured in by the wrong kind of mechanics. Similar owners balk at the cost of a new battery for t the car too (its coded to use agm, it can be coded to use wet cell too, but mostly never done in Pakistan)
Any car whether be it bmw or benz or vw or toyota or honda, is only good if you have resources to keep properly.
In Pakistan people shop around for cheapest labour cost mechanic and then start complaining about âcost of ownershipâ because their mechanics (dealer included) were playing parts roulette with the car.
Best find one shop that is decent, equipped and educated and keep that for all work.
