Bhai aoa if u r near korang town there a work shop by the name sunny autos let me give the no. There work is just like company with all the stuff anyone can imagine....really awesome place and they work well and charge very reasonable 03005506609 here is the cell number ....check the place they have parts as well from Cheap to expensive, its upto customers needs and pocket
From what Iāve heard Honda center isnāt the best and they charge too much for it to be worth it at all. If you find an imandaar mechanic which isnāt very easy , youāll get perfect work done and for cheaper.
AOA Everyone. Guys I own a 99 Civic Vti. My car's engine D16y8 got blown up. I m going for a swap with D15b. can anyone of you please tell me. what things I need to change. I'm swapping the assembly only. A quick response is highly appreciated as I will do it today or tomorrow. Thanks.
Just change wiring, distributor and ecu with assembly.
Thanks brother. I changed the distributor last month. Mine had a leakage so intalled the Japanese one. Hope that it works. I'm also trying to get the uncut wiring and ecu with the assembly.
Will update once done. Thanks.
D16y8 distributor is bigger then d15 and need some fitting bolts repositioning to fit. But it will fit.
Swapping assembly will not do the job, if you want to swap assembly then swap it with d16y6 or d16y8. For D15B you need complete engine and wiring.
But my understanding is that D15B assembly fits bolt on bolt as a replacement of D16y8.
Wrong assessment D16Y8 has no o2 and it has 2 wire iacv and single vtec whereas D15B has dual vtec, o2 and three wire obd2 iacv. D15B dual vtec is altogether different engine then D16Y8. If you want your engine to be start and just be moving then do it else for proper working you need complete engine wiring.
assembly will be bolt on. Rest these things you mentioned should be changed along with wiring.
Yea assembly is bolt on because all d series share same mounts and are bolt on in EK civic.
Rest things you mentioned, he should get them with wiring and ecu. Otherwise it's a waste of money.
Brother if itās an actual y8 engine , Iāll buy the intake manifold off you. Iāve been searching a lot for it so so reply if it is brother.
Brother It's the company fitted1600CC engine with the Pakistani Code PK6V which is actually D16y8. Correct me If I'm wrong.
Thanks brother. Will surely get these things also. Can you please tell me any estimate price of these with Assembly?
Complete D15B dual vtec with wiring and transmission costs around 80-90k in good condition.
It's so coslty. I'm a little low on budget. I'm looking for around 50-60k max. What do you suggest then?
I only need Assembly + Wiring + ECU.
Planning to use transmission I already have.
If you use your own tranny then less 10k.
Then in this budget youāll get engine of civic 2004-5 d16 in this price. Without tranny d15b dual vtec with complete wiring is around 70. Add 10-15k more for fitting and oils.
