As previously discussed in this thread, that I emailed Honda Japan to ask which radiator cap is the original replacement for our Civic EK. The original part number was 19045-PAA-A01 which wasn't availabe with anyone here in Pakistan. The part number 19045-PWA-004 is available at all dealership but Honda Japan and all the Honda Parts websites show it as incompatible for 6th and 7th gen civics. Honda Japan then confirmed me that 19045-RAA-003 is also compatible with PAA. I said to them that Honda Atlas don't have this part. They said we will email them on your behalf. After that I got an email from Honda Atlas telling me to contact on a number and also they have imported the part from Thailand. I talked to the person and he asked me about the nearest dealership. He told me it will be here in our next shippment from Thailand. It costed me Rs.2000 but it took me 20 minutes to get out of the showroom because of too much protocol.
I also bouight geninue Honda oil filter costed me Rs.1100 from Nasir Motors because he had Japanese one RTA whereas all the dealerships have Thailand made oil filter. Can I use it for 2 oil changes or 2 years? as this car is driven very less so I change the oil once a year.@Xulfiqar
I am driving straight and I am hearing a clunking noise from axle so is it inner cv joint which is bad or the outer cv joint?Btw replaced these few months ago and only driven few hundred kms. Get it replaced again in warranty but still noise comes up.@Xulfiqar
This is the same denso micro cap found on corollas and a number of other cars.
Assalam o Alaikum
I wasn't doing any updates on this thread. Alhamdullilah, car is running very smooth. Few days ago replaced the radiator with a new one from ND Radiators. Already I am using Caltex Long Life coolant. Also previously I was using car occasionally and for short trips. But from almost 3 months I am going to work on the car and now I am doing full tank to full tank to calculate average and its returning Alhamdullilah 10 km/l with Full time AC and in even rush hours of Karachi. I also have set TPS voltage to 0.47V at closed throttle which results in very smooth drive as suggested by some Honda Tech members.
I poured Havoline 10w30 last year in August so now I want to change oil. So I need some suggestion. As engine is not reducing oil and there is no leaks except seepage from valve cover gasket, I want to switch to same oil which I am using in corolla 1nz. Petromin 5w30 fully synthetic.
Should I move to 5w30 Fully Synthetic or it will cause a major leak???

Here is the datasheet of both oils.
i don't see any harm in selecting a brand as long as the viscosity is within the user manual parameters.
Some people say that Fully synthetic in old engines will cause seals to leak???
some people say...
you actually never see empirical evidence of "these some people"
Some people said that if I drove a german car I will start speaking german, - hasnt happened yet.
I do look for evidence Hopefully Petromin will not cause any leak Buying now
Sir, doesn't the combination of additives pack and base oil make one brand superior than the other apart from the viscosity numbers, especially when the oil brand in question enjoys great credibility.
That's an easy fix, you should attempt it in first priority otherwise whole engine will start to look greasy and muddy. The only trick is not to over tight the seal.
Its already a mess Dirt and grease on all over the engineSecondly they don't use torque wrench so how they knw that they are overtighting it or not?
Sad to share that my car got stolen from my office at Tipu Sultan Road, Karachi. Yesterday at 2:03 PM
ohhh.howww :s i saw the post on Facebook too..
After gradually decreasing the viscosity of oil at every oil change interval, I poured 5w30 fully synthetic on 23rd July 2022. (Remember this engine was being run on 20w50 for almost 15k to 20k kms). Also used Honda oem filter. And now its 5 months and more than 3k kms driven, I haven't find any problem except the oil leak from tappet cover which is an old problem for me as the local gasket get bad in few days. I have already bought a japanese tappet cover gasket from nasir motors which I will install on next oil change. Next oil I will be using is Puma which I already bought from daraz.
Current odo: 313,039 kms
I was having a long time problem with my rear shocks absorber as before cng was installed so springs were replaced with hard one which causes very hard ride especially if no one is sitting in the back. Felt like the car is on sticks. So I went to get it replaced. Oem springs were with us but they got lost somewhere and we can't find it as it is already 12 years ago when cng was installed. So I was trying to get new shocks but they don't come with springs. Aziz Autos plaza quoted me 16K for Tokico Japanese new shocks. But I don't have oem springs I have to go with kabli complete assembly shocksThe mechanic got shocks from shafiq mor which looks identical to civic ones but when it was getting installed, the bolt won't get in and bolt snaps. Then he contaced a guy in plaza who delivered oem shocks as you can see in the picture even the part no is visible. After the installation the ride height goes lower and now if a averge weighted person sits in back, the car hits the speed breaker. But the suspension feels so good now.
But from few days from left rear I am having a noise on rough roads which seems to be of loose shock mount. But couldn't confirm yet
Date: 24 September 2022
is it normal to have this much loose shock mount nut? because the other side is not that loose. It needs more force to turn
@Xulfiqar @Hassan1991 @rajaahmed96 @shabbir.1
Also check the above post
That nut isnt loose, the whole shaft piston is spinning, to torque it, you need to hold the shaft with an allen wrench/key.
If you hear and feel a rattle with the mount torqued, your mount is bad.
The whole shaft spinning is ok or not? Even if I torque the mount will the shaft still spin with bolt?
