Hello Everyone,
i have a civic 2018. couple of days ago i had a problem with it. on my way back form the office stop at a car wash. turned it off and after few min, when it was my turn for wash, pushed the start button but the engine did start. the engine was cranking but it wasn't starting. called dealership then told to bring the car in for inspection. there was a mechanic there who tried to start it but it wasn't starting. he was able to tell that fuel wast reaching to the engine.
long story short after hour or so got the number of tow truck. before calling them tried to start the car for last time and it started like nothing had happened. went to dealership they checked and didn't found any problem. they said it must have been air locked or something. so, went home. drove later at night without any problem.
next day same thing happened. so, found out after driving for abt 15 20 km this was happening, again went to dealership they hocked up computer and there were no errors of any sort. went for a drive of abt 20 km with their technician and after coming back there was the same problem. they checked the wiring and fusees and relay every thing was fine. so they concluded that fuel pump is faulty and after getting hot it doesn't pump the fuel to the engine. little shocking to hear that a low millage car can have a faulty fuel pump.
.the Millage of the car is abt 9900 km.
.no tracker / no aftermarket modifications /
.has anybody experienced anything like this.
regards
