As fate would have it, I lost my glasses today and could not go to work. So as @omersiddiqui5482 bhai suggested, I did not waste any time in flushing the cleaner out of my radiator and flushed it to wind up the remaining work in the car. I collected a drain pan, and opened the drain plug from below the car (thank god this radiator has a drain plug!)
The cleaning result was excellent! All the years of rust came right out lose and the dust came in small lumps. Here is how the water looked after the first flush:
I kept the radiator drain plug opened and performed two complete cycles of water cleanse from the radiator to make sure all this cleaner was flushed out.
Then I closed the drain plug and performed a full water flush again. Here are the results from the second complete flush:
As you people can see, there is a little improvement in the color of the water, and this time there was no dust left, only brown water so I decided to call it a day.
I left the radiator open to dry and disconnected the reservoir bottle and let it drain on the ground. I also flushed the reservoir bottle twice and cleaned it with soapy water. After all this, I filled the car with filtered water for one last time and drove it to the oil shop.
AT THE OIL SHOP:
Since the oil was wasted because of oil and water mixing, it was a complete oil change job. the oil was drained from the drain plug below and then the remaining was vacuumed out:
Then, new oil was poured in. The usual choice was Castrol Magnetic 10W-40:
Then I instructed him to open the radiator and drain it and suck out the remaining water with vacuum and he obliged:
Havoline coolant (1 litre) was poured in,
followed by 1.5 litres of distilled water
Which makes it a 40/60 mixture but I was short on cash and I just accepted it:
So this is how this long project, spanning over three days, ended. I am updating the total take with the new numbers. I really hope the car pays me off in the long run, because I was not happy to see smoke from the oil cap well during oil change (the car has done so since I bought it but I thought changing the head gasket and cleaning the whole head would do some miracle).
