funny guy. I went through this once with my old mechanic, since then I never leave the car and stay on top of mechanic's head to see what's he doing and how and why and where
I'm gonna hijack your thread again for a little discussion @muhammad.irtiza
as per my last post regarding the cooling system of my cuore.
I've made following observations;
a) Cooling Systems isn't reducing water (yes, it is only distilled water and no coolant atm)
b) Fan speed is perfectly fine
c) It seems 30% of the surface of radiator has bent/blocked fins
d) On auto fan, when temp needle reaches to almost center, it stays there for a little while and then fan turns on. I've a feeling that fans is (auto) turning on late, where it should turn on as and when needle approaches the center of the dial?
e) with AC, the fan becomes direct (stays on, as long as AC is on), but still the temperature needle goes to the centre.
f) while the engine is running along with fan turned on, if i pour a little amount of water over the radiator, I see a drastic drop in temperature reading.
g) Metal Hose pipe (in the front of the coure's engine block, and the radiator cap were replaced ~ a month ago. No leaks so far.
h) Radiator unit (only) was last serviced back in Feb/March 2017.
On these, I've deduced following, please correct me if I'm wrong.
a) Water body is okay, water flow is okay, water pump is okay.
b) Thermostat valve might be hampering a full flow of water
c) Fan alone is not able to cool down the radiator
d) Which is possibly due to inadequate airflow because of bent/blocked fins
On this weekend, after iftaar, I plan on taking the radiator out and put the fins back in shape, will that suffice?
if I'm correct, or wrong, please advise.
