Its a pretty late reply, but let me share an experience with you, I repaired a 2004 corolla with a dead misfire situation due to a bad coil on cyl 3, the car was beat to **** anyway - so naturally the owner went and bought the cheapest ignition coil from ebay, It even came with a little chinese panda sticker on the box.
I installed it and it worked - however I tested the circuit load and also the feedback signal waveform it was generating (toyota have feedback to ECU from ig)
genuine toyota coil pulls about 10 amps, and makes a clean sine wave for the IGF, the replacement coil was pulling 13 amps and the waveform was like a double hump.
It did work, and caused the engine to idle and run without error, but such components can damage the ECU in long term or throw the technician off course in diagnosing a dead misfire. To make the situation more interesting, the customer returned after 5 months with the same coil dead - this time he actually spent money and bought a new genuine toyota coil.
The problem with suzuki can be low voltage to the coils or even a bad radio suppressor
