One of my colleagues bought in Sept '17, another in Feb '18, my brother and his 3 colleagues bought in April '18. The build quality is the same as that of the imported units, if not better. The parts are still being imported and are only assembled here. So quality is the same. However, some things have been added, like the audio player has been upgraded, and there are door rubbers and mud flaps installed from the factory now. Overall, the drive of the newer ones is better than mine (which is an April '15 model), because of course they are newer.
The fuel average I mostly get in city (Lahore) is 12-13 with AC, on highway, 15-16 with AC at speeds around 110-120. On local highways other than motorways, the average increases owing to the lower speeds. The highest I ever got was 17.95, with AC, and the lowest has been 10.75, with AC.
Overall, the car can take quite a beating. It is solid and the way it has been driven, I would say it has held itself quite well. The only thing I changed apart from regular maintenance was a steering rack bush and an axle seal. Rest is all great. I might have to change suspension bushes in the near future though, which I think after driving for more than 55k, often on rough roads, is alright. Also given that it is only a few thousand in expense, I am not worried about it.
