I will be sharing my two recent experiences (both within the last one month) with my cultus 2011 for all those who still say cultus dont give good averages on petrol. Yes, everyone has his own opinion depending upon experience they had. First of all about my car. Its 95k driven, tyre size 175/70/R13 (Dunlop LM703), engine oil (Shell- blue one)/oil filter/air filter changed after every 3k.
From Pindi - Peshawar
Distance travelled 167.1 km
RPM 2200-2500
Speed 90-100 km
once I entered peshawar it was 7.62 Liters which was consumed during the entire journey making an average of 21.92 kmpl.
From Pindi - Peshawar
Distance travelled 165.6 km
RPM 2000-2200
Speed 80-90 km
On entering Peshawar I refuelled the tank and it took 7.73 Liters giving an average of 21.45 kmpl.
Now, what I do during my driving is to put lightest amount of pressure on the race padel required for maintaining the desired speed, shifting gears at 2000 rpm and accelerating slow. I donāt know why I got a better average between 90-100 rather than 80-90.
For all those who donāt believe these averages; they can have a ride with me as I go to isl every week so I donāt have any problem with that.
