we traveled some 10 Kms before returning back,
road is under construction,
first 5 km is metaled road , seems a trap for tourists
then 2 km is stone road , a stage of road before final carpeting, no issue for cars
then 2 km is loose stone road, where you have to see each stone before crossing it,
then a rough patch started where car slip more and move forward less. its the very first stage of road construction when they only dumped stones, big & small, and start leveling it. on sich loose stones we can't drive.
when entering the raod from Bunji, we asked several ppl coming from Astore about road condition, every one says, its ok, some rough road, some bad patch, you can make it, etc.
and every one have different time frame from 1.5 hour to 2.5 hours.
we stayed there some 30 minutes but couldnt found any tourist driving on that road, we traveled some +- 1 hrs on that road and didnt found any outsider vehicles travelling, only locals/taxi, 2 Army vehicles, 1 travel operator van.
on our way when we have traveled some 9 Km and started worrying about road and cars, a local stopped his car and offer his support, saying no problem, its easy, i will accompany you, etc , but after travelling 1 km more one of City stopped moving and slipping in stones, at that point we decided to returned back.
best option is to travel to jaglot on your car and find a Taxi.
we saw several toyota sedan models used as taxi and locals driving relax/fast on that road,
