Okay I so went to Rawalpindi Saddar to find an engine today. Checked a couple of engines with a friend and made the deal for decent looking L13A. Since the car was in Islamabad, the engine was transported to Islamabad.
Upon arrival, my mechanic called me and asked if I had rotated the engine there? And I was like what are you talking about!
It turned out that the engine was jammed and so I called up the guy from whom I had bought the engine and he suggested putting some mobile oil in the chambers so the pistons can lubricate. Well that worked, and then it was put in the car.
Before engine oil was poured into it, one of the guys noticed a crack in the chamber, and that was fixed with Magic after being brought into the notice of the seller, he was willing to change it.
Next, the car won't start. It would only give smoke (which is understandable) the plugs were getting oily as the oil in the chambers was doing its magic. The mechanic tried to clean the spark plugs many at times but to no avail. Finally he tried to change the fuel injectors to the stock one and even that didn't help. The car would start for a 1-2 seconds and then die. Eventually, I decided to leave the car with the mechanic overnight and left for home.
The mechanics don't seem much competent as they took too long to swap the engine and to identify the issue.
What should I do next?
Should I exchange the assembly back with a new one if there is still issue with the starting?
