Hi members, currently own a 2010 Oriel Manual transmission civic, I have been facing some issues, would be really thankful if anyone can shed some light and guide accordingly, JazakAllah.
Issue # 1: Whenever I use Air-Conditioning, the moment I turn off the engine, I can clearly hear a sizzling sound from the engine bay for a good few minutes. This doesn't happen if I do not use the AC. The weird thing is that the sound appears only when the engine is turned off. I have checked it for water leakage and there is no water/coolant leakage. The AC gas was recently checked and is as per the required amount.
Issue # 2: I recently got the catalytic converter serviced/cleaned, however, it started leaking the important minerals during the cleansing, the mechanic told me that it would work fine for the time being, however, I should change it later on. I need to ask you guys that how immediately should I change it and till the time it hasn't been changed, will it have any negative impact on the car's performance? PS. I was quoted 113,000 PKR for a brand new catalytic converter for OEM replacement by Honda Centre.
Issue # 3: I bought the car approximately 5 months ago, the car had been parked in a garage for like 2-3 or more years before that and hadn't been used by the previous owener. The genuine mileage was 75K (checked it from dealership as well as my reliable mechanic). The suspension was in a pretty bad shape, I immediately replaced the front & rear shock absorbers. Bought OEM new from Honda Centre, which costed me around 72K (includes front & back shock absorbers and front mounts as well), other than that, I replaced the Z-links and any worn out bushes, however, I didn't replace the coil springs as recommended by my mechanic. The issue is, I still hear kind of a rattling sound from the rear end only on continuous cracked or rough roads. What could be the reason here? I have also installed brand new tires - Continental Ultra-Contact UC6 215.
PS. the suspension also feels pretty hard but that could be a Reborn thing.
Issue # 4: I have LEDs installed in my genuine reflector headlights and plan to replace the reflector housing with projector ones, need to know if the aftermarket projector lights are worth it (price quoted was around 37K).
I understand that these are pretty extensive issues and require detailed response, would be very thankful if anyone can take the time out and help me resolve them.
I am using Liqui Moly oil. Changed, the oil, air and cabin/ac filter on last change. Also used the engine Liqui Moly engine flush on last change.
Current Car Mileage: 81K.
Completely Stock, other than LED lights, lip spoiler, scuff plates etc which are minor cosmetic changes.
Tires: Continental Ultra-Contact UC6 215.
Parts Changed So far: Front & Rear shock absorbers, front shock mounts, rear hubs, engine mount, break pads, all 4 ignition coils.
