I have - and I go over it with a magnifying glass - if its making noises or has damage - reject.... I have done that in Pakistan too, Got it repaired/replaced, its not odd - and take my guarantee, the customers who bought these jdms new did that too as their build is just one rung above microwave/refrigerator level.
In Pakistan - corporate culture means "raj type rule" where anyone - especially a desi customer should be treated like slaves - you being the customer should make it clear that the brand that the franchise is representing does not like to play around and will very quickly put their books in the red.
