Well my opinion ;
launch of Tucson will keep alot of customer away from new product as its price will be in a bracket which most of customers would not be able to afford.
launch of Tucson brings competition against Sportage and might hurt each other interest and as both are new models in our market, they need to be exclusive at this time. Globally, current generation of Tucson will be replaced later this year while Sportage next year.
Elantra would be a better preposition although at this time the current gen. is near completing its life. Elantra will bring the competition in the sedan sector against Corolla and Civic and would possibility can being more customers to the new brand. Price of Elantra would not be cheap either. Expect it to be in the same lines as rest of available sedans and might be higher.
with current economical conditions, I think it will not be wise to launch two products [ Tucson & Elantra ] right at the same time. Although situation favors Elantra, Nishat will bring Tucson.
I dont see local assembly of Sonata. Like Accord and Camry, it might be offered as CBU and it will cost as much as competition after import. Keep in mind the Santa FE is almost 20 Million.
