I have learned allot from this forum, for example I was about to order Kenwood or dawlanc inverter ac from bank using there without interest (without sood) 12 equal installments. I just googled to find any reviews for these air conditioners so I can decide and in return I came across this amazing thread where users of different brands sharing all experiences which includes there prices and amps. I was shocked to learn the price difference at which people bought these machines from market and on which bank is offering with so called interest free installments. For example, the price for Kenwood 1820 from bank is 106000/- where as from this forum I learned it should be around 80000/- and the dawlance is offered in 90000/- and from this forum I get it it should be around 65000/-.
Secondly, I have learned about electricity reviews and understood that it's almost the same of similar brands like dawlance, Kenwood, Orient. I found some good reviews about Orient, and now when I decided to buy ac from market and not limited to the options given by bank, I have decided to go for Orient Ultron bold with wifi.
Third thing I have learned is to get it installed after vacuumed the pipes, and for that I am waiting.
So I am writing this as little contribution from my side so may be someone else may be benefited.
Actually I want to share my market experience while buying the AC in Lahore.
I bought it from the biggest market in Lahore that is abid market. But before that I went to matro and g
Hyperstar both are selling these products at higher prices than market even after putting them in sale or off catogary. So below is my market experience.
I went to the abid market and start asking for price of Ultron models and at very first shop I made my mind to the mold that is called Ultron bold (gold) or 18G bold wifi. The price was qouted 70000 and hyper model 72000 with same outdoor unit. So I decided to buy bold model.
Now the interesting part every shop said that 70000 is final price. They have made some kind of consensus no one was ready to give any discount. But I started moving towards internal part of the market towards the most popular chai Wala hotel of monzang. And told every shop keeper that I am serveying and whoever give me the lowest price I'll buy from that after serveying. I found a shop which offered me in 68000. So I benchmarked it and finally get from another shop with big board of Orient displayed on top of their shop by qoting that I have an offer in 68000 and managed to get them in 67000 with free home delivery. So this is my story.
I just remembered my childhood when we bought books much less prices than written rate on them.
So big stores stay away, giving very little discount on written prices. And banks no way without interest, in my opinion, check market price first. By the way the asking price for dawlance was 68000/- instead of banks 90000/-
