experts need your help with a strange issue.
my old R22 1 ton dawlance AC works fine for like 15-20 mins (perfect cooling) and afterwards condensor fans keep running, compressor light is on (AC is not trip) however compressor stops working.
I have checked pipes go warm and it stays like that afterwards (no more cooling just blows air).
However i turn it off and turn it back on after some time again it starts cooling perfectly and again after some time it stops cooling without actual trip signal (since compressor indicator light is on and condensor fan is running. only compressor stops).
I got its gas topped up recently. And the capacitor which starts the compressor has been changed too to a better spec new capacitor.
the AC guy told me that the compressor is getting heat up and stops working. if thats the case what is the solution.
the AC guy told me that its an old AC replacing compressor would cost more than its actual worth so discard it or live with it.
i will be replacing its place on saturday which much smaller pipes length (around 3 - 4 ft) as compared to current 10 ft. will it reduce any load on compressor and make it work better?
