Pricing the Sportage will be tricky for Kia, they can't price it over the 4.5 to 5 Million bracket because then their customers will have the choice between a locally produced 5 seat crossover with a small engine or an imported 11 seater V6 powered people carrier in the shape of the Grand carnival. Not saying both cars will have common buyers but it'll still tarnish the Sportage's image as being bad value for money. But, they also can't price it too low to the point where it becomes unfeasible for them to produce.
I predict an axing of the Grand carnival from Kia's lineup once the Sportage is officially launched, or a major price hike but that's unlikely. With the carnival having served it's purpose and gone, Sportage would be free to occupy the 4 to 5 Mn price bracket as the sole local made crossover.
