Hold on to your horses and dont be upset. I just said that, reliability index has nothing to do with sales. I am not trying to prove anything and don't get sentimental. We are here for discussion and everyone should agree to disagree. We are not here in war zone, we are presenting arguments. We are not paid by anyone to favour anyone or talk against anyone.
I am not saying kia is trash or Suzuki is top class brand. I am not fan of either. Infact the cars I own for last 20 years are VW's and Audis and both are low in reliability index as well as sales in the same US market. I was just giving an argument on basis of sales vs reliability because everyone was bringing JD power reliability index in discussion. If you/ someone bring US index/ ranking , then obviously a counter argument / question will be presented from the same market.
As of Suzuki in US, they failed not because of poor cars, it was losing GM as partner and some other operational difficulties like model options and low sales to some extent plus the major challenge was back in 2007,8,9 the economy had downturn and market had a collapse and GM filed for bankruptcy until government injected money in it. GM killed their own sub brands in the makeup and they left Suzuki in the middle.. even VW left them and sold the 16% share value in Suzuki back then. The Kizashi was developed when VW was Suzuki partner and VW has their design development input in it. BTW, the Chevy Optra in Pakistan was Suzuki Forenza in US, GM and Suzuki had interchange badges on various models back when they were partners. Suzuki products were assembled on GM plants in US, when joint venture could not survive , Suzuki could not continue and filed for chapter 11.
I have already clarified that I am not against KIA/ Hyundai..I have given a detailed opinion on it , some posts above.
Anyways, Now get back to the subject topic which is Picanto and I said in my detailed commet few posts above already, that no one is bound to respond to my comment.
Thx
