Nope. 5w-50 is as twice as viscous than 5w-30 and 10w-30. I believe, its sports cars grade motor oil, and poured where driving conditions are extreme, like racing, to provide best lubrication.
Bro, summer season, winter season, garmi, sardi, etc. do not work for new engines, based on new designs and tech. They have tight clearances, and if you will be pouring extremely thick engine oil, it may bring harm instead of benefits.
In USA, 0w-16 / 0w-20 are now being poured by Toyota in their brand new vehicles. And as told by Zulfiqar Sb. in one of his posts, some regions in USA are extremely hot. Then, some regions are quite dusty, and some are quite humid. Even petrol quality at some points is also not good. Despite everything, same engine oil grade is being poured and vehicles are working perfectly.
Pakistan is not some out of this Universe country where all the laws relating to automobiles, engines and lubricants fail? Sometimes, I fail to understand that why people do not get this an believe in myths, and kahi suni baatein?
