@ all the rotary lovers here.....
Yes i too swapped in a JZ.....and to tell you the truth at the end i regretted it. Yes the car was faster in a straight line but it lost its charm overall some how. I felt like i betrayed the FD. I love rotarys and the reason i and my friend Ahad676 here got them was to show everybody how reliable they can be if taken care of. And trust me all we did was research research research.90% of our conversation in a day would be about what we learned and what we need to do. But then reality kicked in.
I think everyone will agree with me when i say that FDs require aloot of money to keep them running smoothly. Now unlike most FD owners in Pak we are not loaded and when we got these cars...we were students...meaning no steady income. I was studying in lahore and the FD was my daily driver....what i had to endure with the traffic and heat there and no AC, only i will know. The JZ was the right thing to do at the time. no more heating issues, no more glancing at the heat gauge, 24/7 AC and better fuel mileage.
Having said all that now that i have a job and the finances to maintain a rotary, i will for sure buy one again and keep it rotary.
@wankelboy
from the sounds of it you look like your not in Pakistan, trust me its tough having a DD rotary here. Not impossible but tough. For me the swap was purely based on cost effectiveness and making my life easier....if i had the chance to do it again i probably wudnt.
@Chapra
That blue FD is btw what made us want to buy our cars....Rana Abbas gave us a ride back when he owned it.
