Had the front cv boots redone so had the axle out and noticed the axle seal have signs of a leak starting
So replaced the seal
Lost about 100ml in the process only have to fill that amount up so was waiting for the same oil as factory filled
The oil that was lost was still golden and didnāt smell bad
Itās done 80k km
The transfer case oil is on order too 16K Rs per litre from Dewan from Germany
Porsche didnāt have it in stock they just say bring the car in and we will inspect it first
Transfer case is doing fine I thought Iāll wait till next year to change that oil as have to do adaptations after changing oil using BMW ISTA and usually itās give a error code whenever transfer case oil needs changing
I did order the transfer actuator repair kit from bmw just to keep it in stock as the plastic gear often go bad on these
The chain on the x drive was different from the pre facelift e53 so bmw said they donāt sell it itās not a official part
But I donāt have any issues with it anyway
Did do a gearbox fluid change of the ZF box despite Dewan saying to not touch it
They even pour back old fluid on the other cars even if they are changing a leaking sump gasket but I had it done anyway
