So.... It has been over 2 years. The car has only done about 10k. I still have not done any of the upgrades.
Car has had 4 oil changes/services so far. I am using the oem 5w-30SN red packing.
The car has a tracker installed so if it's not driven for 2 weeks, the battery dies. It's driven rarely so the battery would run out of juice often. One time the battery died and we didn't bother jump starting it for another couple of weeks so this time the battery died for good, poor thing; replaced it with Deawoo and it is is still going strong. Oem battery only lasted about 8 months.
It has been on 2 trips to north:
Nathia Gali (April 2018)
There were 5 on board and trunk full of luggage. I was surprised how effortlessly it went up the hills. The eurostars gripped very well. It was raining half of the time we were there. We stayed at summer retreat and the roads leading up to there are pretty narrow and steep, but it climbed like it was nothing even in a down pour.
Naran / Babusar Top (Aug 2018)
Again there were 5 on board and trunk full of luggage. The car performed well but that was about it this time. The tires had gone a bit hard by this time. As soon as we hit abbotabad the ride quality became a big issue and concern. As the roads are not very smooth, we felt every little bump or stone it went over. As we crossed abbotabad we realized the mistake we had made not bringing civic for this trip. I lowered the tyre pressure to 26 but that didn't help.
Rest of the journey to Naran was pretty painful, but I had no idea that the real pain was waiting for us. It was bumper to bumper in naran. This car has little low end torque which means you have to rev high while climbing from a stand still other wise it doesn't just move, specially when it's loaded and the climb is steep and the road is wet and you have to move the car only 3-4 ft maneuvering around and going slowly over the big pot holes and ditches, and then stop; and then repeat the process again and again. When traffic is moving, it isn't an issue, car climbs effortlessly. But starting uphill from a stand still is little tricky.
