Can you please share the shop name and location, where you bought the PCV valve from? and did you also buy the flexible pipe connected to it.
As far as I know that flexible pipe has a special construction and made from some special material as it has has to work in high temperature area along with mobil oil vapours therefore it can't be replaced with ordinary rubber pipes such as the ones used in the cooling circuit.
I have two cars, one has got a PCV valve similar to yours i.e., a straight shape type directly plugged into the oil separator chamber while the other one is 90° bent type.
The bent type one is located in the middle with flexible pipes on each side, nonetheless they have a similar function that is to block air on it's one side and allowing it from from the other side.
Moreover, when I was trying to re-attach the PCV valve in the seprator chamber it was not going snugged fit in the rubber grommet, to avoid possibld air leakage I applied a layer of silicone around the PCV valve, did you also face a similar issue like this?
