i think if not going that much climbs it won't over heat on roads, we usually do non stop drive from Gilgit to home ISB with out any problem it's a real time work horse , since i let cleaned my radiator and put all Toyota coolant she is doing fine , 1996 to 1999 have more resale value then the upcoming models because the sensors and electrics they used in them like fully computerized fuel pump which some time fails.
90's models veriy from condition but they are around 1.2 to 1.7 million . I bought mine in 1.2 mill in 2012 now they are a little more expensive , 2005 models are near 2.0 to 2.5 million .
about the comfort , Pajero is not a ride it's a taste of rider , you love her when u had one despite of pple sayings you don't want to lose her , some of friends have them and they never agree to sale her including me . She is mush more comfortable then others competitors , she is bred with future technology and born on the rally field ,, she won maximum Dakkar rally races , 2.8 has a torch of monster and on acceleration fly like a lion in no time. the sound of turbo while accelerating can mesmerize the rider .
in japan they introduce ABS from 93 models , but most of them are without abs breaks , because it's a option to chose while booking your pajero , but the four wheel disc breaks are enough for stopping her , never had any trouble on her breaking mine is not equipped with abs, but use only original Mitsubishi break pads ,
2800cc on upper models have computerized fuel pumps and intercooler is not placed above the engine . 2.8 is very economical fuel average while the 3.5 can only run 4 to 5 km in a litter .
