You're right. Personally, I prefer manual hub locks, I prefer manual gears over automatics, I prefer the really old diesels for their water proofing, I prefer no bumpers, no traction control, no LSD, Mud Terrains, uncomfortable and smoky rides when I go off road.
All I want from a soft roader is to drive around in the city, and go on some gravel, some light mud, keep high when the roads are a little flooded, and make me feel safer when there is the need. Anyone who wants offroading potential from a soft roader is not very intelligent to begin with.
That being said, to each his own, but silly comments about how one vehicle has all time 4x4 etc makes me blow my fuse. Now that my fuse is blown and I get any more personal, I shall bow out, for at least a couple of days...
And I would love to see your Prados and Pajeros out perform even a 1942 Willys while offroading. Prados and Pajeros are soft roaders stock. Period!
