the cash outflow hmm.
in parts - expect to spend about 1600 euro in all chassis parts. This will get you real good quality suspension parts and bushings, complete A to Z. Expect about 1000 USD or about 900 Euro to get the gearbox parts. (if required) - another 300 for the AFM you see there.
About 400 for all the cooling system and its associated components, radiator, water pump, hoses, plastic connectors, expansion tank etc.
Now comes the worst part. Finding someone who is willing to break down the car and pack it back up to BMW spec (e.g. tightening the parts require specific angles preloaded on the arms and using soap lube to install new bushings where required - they also need tightening properly when the suspension is in "ready" state)
This will require you find a workshop that can actually follow all this and ideally have a 2 or 4 post lift.
Once all this is sorted you can get to work on the gearbox , cooling system and the engine. - It also requires you have a mechanic who can understand what the manufacturer specifies in the work methodology and also has common sense which is ready and available for use. (not ustaad/shaagird)
After all this is done, you will need to get to work on the body and electrics to see how many ustaads have polished their skills on this car.
btw - all prices mentioned are FOB - figure out the shipping and duties or ask some parts sellers. I just gave you a very rough idea - you will need to add to the list as you find stuff broken/missing/jugaar.
In a nutshell - you being in Pakistan, with no experience other than driving dad's sedans from japan - dont buy it. It will end up as a rusting hulk.
Yes, BMW E36 drive damn amazing, (drive this, or an E34, E38 or E39 in its prime to understand) but to get that amazing feel you will need skills/pockets.
remember - that the E36 was actually designed for a larger 2.8 litre 6 cyl engine - these smaller 4 cyl ones are very slow (if you are in the gang that thinks all BMWs go faster than superbikes)
