Alto needs to rev high to produce power.
Mehran doesn't feel under powered because it probably produces good torque at mid revs. This reminds me of the fun times I had over the years with our mehran. In 2015, around maghrib time I went out with friends for casual shopping and catching up. There were 5 of us. Couple of hours later we decided to go for a long drive on motorway. When we got to sukheki, we're like, why don't we go all the way to Islamabad and then Murree. We drove slow, stopped at every rest area, we got to islamabad around 7:00 am then went to Murree using the old road, took the ghora gali road past arcadian all the way to pindi point, then walked to mall road and got breakfast from the same old place we go every time.
So anyway, there were 5 of us in the car and I drove it like a race car on the hills on full throttle and full speed car jumping in the air like if we're rally driving and I don't remember I felt it to be under powered at any point. It was early morning and the roads were empty.
Similarly went to Naran in december 2011. Back then roads in naran kaghan kawai balakot were in pretty good condition. I remember driving there on empty roads we felt like playing some need for speed map. Driving mehran there was so much fun. I have driven many cars there over the years but the most fun I remember I have had driving a car in hills is mehran because it's a low weight small hatch with enough power and a manual gear box. Manual city is powerful but it has very little low end torque which spoils the fun for me. I'd like to drive manual swift there some day, it should be a fun drive too or some turbo 660 with manual gearbox.
