3 years of rally abuse and there is not a millimeter of extra bend at the back. Vulnerable areas are the front shock towers, which go inwards and the bends/portion of the chassis from shock towers till the fire wall, which goes upwards. These areas have been strengthened with a 10 mm steel sheet, may be they will bend again,,, may be not,,, but in any case, there is no point in adding minimum 25 or 30 kgs of steel at the rear section where there is no chance of bending.
Nissan's frame was also strengthened till the middle of the front doors only.
The idea of replacing temperamental Pull Type Clutch with a more dependable Push Type Clutch has been scrapped for the time being,,, very long story but all the Gurus including Rashid Abdullah and Yasir Ghani were of the opinion that we do not have much option here,,, so Evo's genuine Gear Box with Pull Type Clutch Setup is staying.
Only desired modification was to have a 2JZ,,, rest are all consequential modifications. No stone will remain un-turned to make this a rally monster. I am lucky to have all the necessary technical help, project has basically a blank cheque, full time mechanic working in my porch,,, lets keep the fingers crossed, Insha Allah it should turn out to be a winner.
