Although a lot of good Hollymood movies have already been suggested. I would just like to point out that one should always check the director's name before deciding which movie to watch as a genius director won't likely give a pathetic waste of time movie. There are certain directors whose movies should always be checked out if you are a movie buff and then there are some others who are just crap, yet somehow keep going on in Hollywood.
As far as I'm concerned, Christopher Nolan is on top of that list as he is a rare director whose all movies are just brilliant blockbusters and there is hardly any movie that is a miss. After that I would rate Quentin Tarantino, who rarely has a bad movie to his name (Kill Bill series!). Then there are some A class directors like Martin Scorsese (Shutter Island, Wold of Wall Street), Steven Spielberg (Schindler's List, Jurassic Park), David Fincher (Fight Club, Curious case of Benjamin Button) and James Cameron (T2, Titanic) and who have given massive superhits, though they have also given some pretty ordinary movies too. Stanley Kubrick is another director who is massively famous, though the only thing I like in his movies is the music and background score that is just mind blowing and that just makes watching his movies a different experience altogether.
