Bro, there had been a Tour "Pakistan k Rang; Honda BRV k Sang". You can find complete details about it on Pakwheels Blogs & Forums, and also see videos on YouTube that how well it performed, despite some abuse & torture (may be, the purpose of this tour was to test full potential of BRV).
Rest assured, if you will take proper care of your CVT car, it won't give any problems, IN SHA ALLAH.
And some websites even say that Honda's CVT is more durable and reliable than that of Toyota!
I personally think, MT takes more beating here due to frequent gear changes, clutch plates getting heated & changed frequently, stop-and-go traffic, etc. but since it is cheap and easy to repair, so no worries. On the other hand, CVT will last longer and may not require any early overhaul / repair / replacement, provided it is taken good care of. Otherwise, if you frequently and severely abuse & misuse it, do not take care of it regarding maintenance, then it may fail early and its replacement will cost a lot.
Bro, CVTs are difficult to repair here, at least for now, they may be requiring complete replacement, and cost of new CVT may be best quoted by Honda Dealerships.
