Rightly said and totally agreed!
Actually, I had decided to not go for any rims other than Lenso, due to many reasons (one of them you have just explained), however, in Lenso, the issue is, in 15" rims, they aren't available in 5", 6" or even 6.5" widths. As per my limited knowledge, 7" is the min. width for 15" rims, so, I had to go for it. Option for 6" was already ruled out.
Cheap quality Chinese / Taiwanese rims can be available in 5" and 6" widths for 15" rims size.
Yes! Without a doubt!
Nope. As far as I think, they look like a donut. 185/65/R15 is much much better than 175/65/R15, and if talking about 175/65/R15 on 15 x 7" Lenso rims, neither will it look good, nor will it provide any good grip, handling, breaking, etc. Rim may be wider than the tire itself.
Nope. It is 0.9" more in dia than 165/70/R14, but 0.5" less in dia than 185/65/R15. 175/65/R15 can not be bigger than 185/65/R15.
