@farhansa,
Indeed scooters are designed for women (in the west) and vespa is no exception. We have our own norms in Pakistan. Our women have to sit incorrectly on the rear seat of a motorcycle leave alone driving one. Similarly the rikshaw was originally designed to transport small parts within factories / industrial units or for postal services at best. In Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka and Indonesia (I am sure the list goes on) these are used as taxis. Very popular in cities with narrow streets.
BTW, I am looking for a 1962 model vespa seat. with a little bit of alteration, it can fit a classic bike which I intend restoring shortly. Any clues where I could get second hand Vespa parts in RWP / Isb?
