Why people label Porsche 911 (Regardless of the trim level) and Nissan GTR as "Super Cars" is beyond me!
A car must have some exclusivity like an eye popping price-tag (~$300,000), rarity and exotic branding to be rightfully considered a 'super car'.
It's not all about speed and 0-60s. If it was; then no one in his right mind would buy a Ferrari or a Lamborghini. The top-tier Mustang GT350 can give a Ferrari 458 a good run for its money while costing a just tad over $50,000 brand new; bone stock.
So like I said; exclusivity is key.
The Nissan GTR, a fast car no doubt, hardly feels 'exclusive' because of this:
Things would be different if The GTR had a Ferrari badge and 2x higher sticker price!
Think about it!
