These cars were collected by the owner over a period of time and not imported. Karachi used to have the finest cars money can buy in the 60s 70s and mid 80s. Its after the late 80s when inflation dragged its ugly rear into our lives, prices soared up , global economic giants fell to their knees and the glory of these fine cars settled either into the deserted garages or banished parking lots. They have been resting there , decaying and hybernating till a true enthusiast shows up as their knight in shining armour and brings them back to their former glory.
With the present times and hope less future , we cannot predict the fate of these cars. There are so many more thrown away with only their chasis left in tact.
We have been plunged into dark ages , a time of wreakening and depression where suzuki mehrans have replaced chevy IMPALAS.
Thats the awful truth. like it or not
Getting back to the topic , Cars like these are difficult to restore in Pakistan. Would not be feasible to invest a fortune for individuals. However having said that we can pool in and make a small company of individuals and restore the machines one by one with what ever we have to offer. Later on get sponsers for MNCs , High networth institutions and Individuals.
Till then its a far cry.
