Staying with "silly people do silly things and destroy a perfectly good component by doing stuff without understanding what they are doing" Theme
At some point in its life, some silly electrician wired in a relay to run the radiator fan directly with the switch and instead of leaving the factory wiring alone and just parallel in his circuit, he went an cut off the factory connectors and threw them away. Our silly electricians think their job is the final one and no one will ever try to question it at a later date.
I mean one can do this stuff in so many different ways. He could have just back probed the connectors and run off his relay circuit. The similar butchery is done in the fuse box. Spades for the fuses have been cut off. Same has been done in the factory relay slots - chopped receptors for the relay spades.
That is the only reason why I have not fitted back the dash board. I have to undo all this "silliness". I am not too good at the electrical stuff. My guess is that's because I can't see those electron things moving about! But I have my trusty electrical diagrams in the Haynes Manual so all is not lost.
