Come on Mr.Xulfiqar , you are a senior pakwheeler, I appreciate your response. Even a beginner knows about legendary JZ turbo engines, they know their capabilities and people are swapping them in every other car, even trucks and buses. Regarding BMW , obviously I'm looking for a BMW with a swapped jz turbo in it ( I've mentioned it in subject line , wrote in detail, and I am sure everyone will understand it )
I agree that BMW's n54 have some decent power but it's a different story in Pakistan , it's easier to search on Wikipedia but in reality, the parts availability and maintenance of these engines aren't pocket friendly. Most importantly, I'm looking for at least 500+ hp in future and n54 wouldn't be easier to find and will cost an arm and leg to buy and modify, JZ engines are easily available, can handle serious power with stock bottom end.
As far as VQ engines are concerned, for example: VQ35HR . they are also hard to find , expensive to maintain( if something goes wrong) , comes with a mere 300 hp with 3500cc displacement. They come N/A from factory, have to spend serious $$ to gain a few hp from N/A engine and it's useless to turbo it because it'll cost heaps. I'm not a big fan of V6 engines.
There's no comparison of a jz turbo engine and Nissan's VQ or BMW's n54. The story is different in Pakistan , we have to make smart decisions. we are different. We cannot make a decision like other people in western world, we cannot just go in junkyard and buy a corvette's LS9 or BMW's n54 in cheap price. We have to play with what's available here in Pakistan.
Cheers
