In a rather surprising move, United Auto Industries has increased the price of its United US-150 bike. According to a notification, the price of this specific bike has been increased by Rs. 60,000, taking it to Rs. 330,000 compared to the previous Rs. 270,000. Undoubtedly, this is a shocking price hike, considering it is a United bike. Furthermore, the step is unwelcoming, considering the dollar rate is stable against PKR, and the consumers were expecting a price decrease, but bike companies apparently have other plans.
The new price is effective from November 5, 2023.
As per a dealer of the company, this is an imported bike, and that is why it observed such a price jump. Still, it is not an excuse because the bike is supposed to be ridden by an ordinary person, but these prices make it impossible for anyone to buy a new one in cash. Interestingly, no company shares the exact reason for these repeated price hikes, whether Honda, Yamaha, or United. These companies are pretty quick to increase the prices when the rupee performs poorly against the US dollar, but despite a good performance in the last couple of months, the prices are still going up; strange, isn’t it?
United US-150
United Autos introduced this 150cc bike in June 2023, terming it the cheapest 150cc motorcycle. It made its first appearance at an esteemed auto expo held in Lahore, where it was showcased alongside other motorcycles and electric scooters manufactured by United Autos.
