buying a running car for 400k is a lot better then buying a dead for 150/180k, Most cars ive seen are painted, but the engine room tells a total different story.
Sourcing parts would be a pain in the back.
Painting a car neatly, decently would cost you around 120k alone.
I fixed a Honda City 2008 in 2020 it went really well. (since it was a family car had almost everything intact and died because of a failed radiator). Learned alot of stuff, buying parts, made alot of scrap yard contacts.
Then a Corolla Altis 2006 in 2021, which was purchased from a third party, I ended up spending alot of money on it, Later i sold it since it was beyond my control, and fuel consumption of a 1.8 was killing.
althou that car too was sold in a good condition, it got sold right out of the paint shop.
Now im just skeptic since i dont want to spend above 600k (with car price on a KE70) +/- 50k
The best part, all stock KE70s ive seen with carburators, they start on half self, my personal experience with Suzuki Carburators hasnt been well, But 4k Corolla is different.
I have been looking for 89/92 anda Charade or a KE70.
lastly what ever you buy, Will need a personal touch. which will take in money .
