I've never owned or even driven the Revo V, so I can't say if its the right decision or not, but as a pre-facelift '16 year turbo civic owner, I can confidently say that I have not had any problems with the car. I got the software updated about a year into owning it (you won't have to, as I understand its already done for new models).
I keep the car maintained from Honda Margalla, get spark plugs changed on time, take care that I get the oil changed on time, etc. I changed the tyres from BG to Pirellis about 40k km back, and I made the right decision to do so, as BG's lack the grip I have come to rely on since I changed the rubber. Front wheels don't slip even in spirited take offs, unless the road is wet. Apart from that, my car is fully factory spec.
Some owners have had their turbo's tuned, etc, and they get impressive gains from their mods. As for me, the stock bhp is more than enough to put a smile on my face every time I drive it. I might ask for their advice on mods as time goes by, if I want even more horses from the nifty little 1.5 earth dreams engine.
It truly is a joy to drive, and regular maintenance means it'll be a problem free ride too. Congratulations on the purchase, and post some pictures of your ride!
