Hey everyone bought an alto for home last week , it's the vxl ags variant . Thought I'll share my experience and the mods I do with time.
I bought it immediately so it costed me 14,33,000/- in total including registration and transfer fee. Invoice was 1260k Not sure about the withholding tax but all in all I paid 1385k to the person who had booked the car. Then 48k for registration and transfer.
Installed leather seat covers & some tints. Will share the pictures in tomorrow daylight
Cabin is quite , drive is smooth on ring road. In city or driving short distances the gear shifts are quite jerky. When i got it odo was 22km , got the tank full which costed 3500 It drove 455 km on this tank and the reserve light got on today when i reached home. Probably will drive 70-80 kms more . It'll improve after 5-10k kms. Overall first impressions , it's a good secondary car for short distances and city driving. I hope the gear shifts will improve with time .
Congrats om your awesome purchase. Does it make a difference if you take your foot off the throttle for smoother gear changes? Because that's what people suggest here.
I can't understand why people are acting like princesses to the Alto's transmission. I drove the new Alto AGS extensively twice and while there was a noticeable jerk, my Automatic Cuore also gives the same amount of jerk. Of course they couldn't install Honda's Prosmatic technology or Toyota's Super ECT in the economy sector car. I'd rather have the jerk rather than the conventional AT or CVT. Speaking as a prospective Alto owner.
True that. Also you do realise hondas auto tranny is the worst in in industry worldwidem

Exactly, Nissan Altimas trannies are always breaking down and blowing up for most people in U.S. They are just very unreliable.
Yeah these Nissan Jatco CVT transmissions were A nightmare for Nissan; damaged their reputation beyond repair in many cases. However, I did drive Nissan Sunny B16 2006 for a week. That 4AT was the smoothest transmission I had ever driven. Gear change was not even remotely noticeable - just an rpm change would indicate it. Man I love that car!
MashAllah All the best.
True. You can expect something like that from Nissan but its not expected from Honda where they are absolutely gods in making Engines & manual tranny its completely opposite when it comes to making auto transmission.
Congratulations buddy.
Hows the entertainment unit performance? have you tried screen mirroring? all my phones are on Android Pie 9 which it does not support. it only supports phone android 8.1 and below,.

mashaAllah too good
Yes it does , the transition is smooth if you're driving with a light foot which probably this car is intended for. I drive with a hard foot also i live near one of the most dangerous road in lahore so while overtaking big trucks , i was having trouble with the gear shifts , sudden press on throttle troubles the cars shifting, but maybe I'm not used to the transmission as yet . I also tried the manual mode which helped a little but then again it's not that fun shifting gears with a 40hp engine.Driving a manual gli a cultus and a cvt Corolla has made me used to something else . This on the other hand is a different story.
I'll be going to Nathiya Gali this eid on my alto with 4 people on board so that'll be an experience to share Insh-Allah
