There's a few ways to look at this. In one way, you can't compare as ones a truck and ones a car with a big body on it.
One is 4wd, one is not. One will eat fuel in gulps, one will not.
Also, unless you find a complete gem, a 26 year old suv can financially drain you. Especially due to Pakistani ustaads, it will be a never ending wallet emptying abyss.
The 2018 brv may have a chance. However, it's a local vehicle of cheap build quality. However, it will most likely be a lot more reliable than the Prado (as long as it's been maintained).
Id keep looking for another vehicle option if it was me, but if you are dead set and these are your only two options, I'd go for the newer car if it's in better shape. Obviously quality wise, the Prado is superior. But again, it's 26 years old.
