PakWheels.com has brought yet another walkaround of the upcoming Prince Pearl. The particular car under review is a CBU (Completely Built Unit) with a left-hand drive transmission. From July onwards, Prince Pearl is likely to become available in the Pakistani market. Initially, right-hand drive CBUs will be imported, and over time CKD (Completely Knocked Down) units will be made available.
Exterior
Looks are subjective; however, the exterior of the new Prince Pearl Rex7 boasts a sporty look that is enhanced by the front bumper, which houses fog lamps and a wide black grill. The front halogen headlamp units contain DRLs. A wide chrome grill on the front gives a premium look and feel to the car. The new hatchback will come equipped with 13-inch alloy rims. At the front, Prince Pearl has disc brakes while at the back you will find drum brakes. However, the car will come with booster brakes instead of ABS brakes.
LED turn signal lights are integrated into the side mirrors, which are powered and retractable. Door handles and side mirrors match the color of the body. The design language also boasts many pronounced cuts and curves which differentiates the car from the competition. The ground clearance is also substantial for the local roads.

The rear of the new Prince Pearl bears a resemblance to the Suzuki Cultus. The rear brake lamp is housed in the top of the boot, and the rear bumper contains reflectors. The rear lights also closely match those of the Suzuki Cultus. The quality of the rear lights also seems reasonable. The boot is fully automatic and opens instantly with a push of a button located near the steering wheel. Conforming to the local standards, Prince Pearl will also come with a spare tyre in the boot.
Interior
Prince did not allow us to film the interior as it is a left-hand drive car. As soon as the right-hand drive units arrive in the country, we will bring you an in-depth review of the interior as well.
Engine
Prince Pearl will come equipped with 800cc EFI engine which will be paired with a four-speed manual transmission. There will also be an automatic transmission available in the future. In the affordable hatchback segment, Prince Pearl and Suzuki Alto are expected to come with automatic transmission. The engine is capable of producing up to 40 hp at 5500 rpm.
Prince has not yet disclosed the launch price of the Pearl Rex7; however, it will be closely matched with the price of Bravo in the ballpark of PKR 9 lacs.
