Just a concept and Mazda did n't reveal any plans of production. It is run by a modified engine for gas.
The Japanese automaker said the Skyactiv-G gasoline engine can be easily modified for CNG with only minor changes.
The Mazda3 SKYACTIV-CNG Concept is a dual fuel vehicle that has tanks for both gasoline and compressed natural gas. It used a modified version of Mazda’s 2.0 liter four that’s currently available in the Mazda3.
[I]"Demand for CNG-powered vehicles is increasing all over the world and the Skyactiv-CNG Concept adopts a dual fuel system that runs on both gasoline and CNG," said Mazda in a statement on Monday. "CNG engines must burn fuel at high pressure and because the Skyactiv-G gasoline engine already achieves a high compression ratio, it can easily be modified for CNG with only minor modifications."
